Browser Plugins

What is a Plugin?

A plugin 'plugs in' to your web browser and enables the viewing of special documents.

Some common plugins are the Adobe Acrobat Reader and the Macromedia Flash Player.

Your browser may be able to automatically install plugins for you, if not it is a simple matter of clicking on the download link or button (such as those on the left of this page) and following the instructions.

Once the plugin is installed it should start itself whenever you click a link to the type of file it represents.
You may also have the option of saving the file on your computer and viewing it from there. Do this if it is likely you will want to refer back to that file again in the future.
