What is a Web Browser?

A browser is the piece of software which is installed on your computer which allows you to view web sites.

The NLMD site has been designed to work on as wide a range of browsers as possible, however, to get the most out of the NLMD we recommend that you have one of the following browsers .

• Internet Explorer version 6 or higher
• Google Chrome - All versions
• Firefox - All versions

How do I find out what browser version I am using?

One of the easiest ways to find out what version of a browser you are using it to look on the 'About' page. This can be found by clicking on the 'Help' menu at the top of your browser, then choose the option which says 'About ...' this will then display a window containing information about your browser version
